At Digital Compliance Auditors, we treat client compliance data, codebase vulnerabilities, and audit reports with strict institutional confidentiality.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: direct client submissions, automated diagnostic scanning, and account transaction data:

  • Direct Inquiries and Consultations: When you submit a request for an ADA demand letter review or manual audit quote, we collect your name, business email address, corporate telephone number, domain URL, and any legal documentation you choose to share.
  • Automated Scanning Telemetry: When you submit a website URL into our Free Accessibility Checker or configure WCAG Pro continuous monitoring, our servers process the public DOM, HTML markup, stylesheets, and accessibility object model (AOM) to compute accessibility barrier scores. We do not extract private databases or backend server secrets during automated audits.
  • Billing and Enrollment Records: When purchasing the CDCS Program ($497 or $1,497) or subscribing to WCAG Pro ($14/month), transactions are encrypted and processed by PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways (Stripe). We never store raw credit card numbers on DCA servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected strictly for legitimate compliance engineering and service delivery purposes:

Audit Delivery

Generating automated diagnostic reports, technical remediation checklists, and VPAT documents requested by your organization.

Certification Accreditation

Managing student progress, issuing verifiable digital credentials, and hosting the official CDCS Partner Registry directory listing.

Continuous Monitoring Alerts

Transmitting automated regression emails when new WCAG 2.2 barriers are detected in your production deployment pipeline.

Security & Abuse Prevention

Enforcing rate limits, preventing scraping attacks, and maintaining cloud infrastructure integrity.

3. Non-Disclosure and Client Audit Confidentiality

We recognize that digital accessibility audit findings often contain sensitive vulnerability data, especially for enterprises defending active ADA demand letters or preparing federal VPAT procurement packages.

Zero-Sale Policy: Digital Compliance Auditors never sells, rents, monetizes, or brokers client vulnerability audit records, scanning logs, or student contact details to data aggregators, ad networks, or plaintiff law firms.

All proprietary manual audit reports, source code snippets, and client remediation blueprints are treated as confidential information under standard commercial non-disclosure protections.

4. Cookies and Analytical Tracking

We maintain a minimal cookie footprint designed to support essential platform operations:

  • Essential Authentication Cookies: Retain login sessions for CDCS student portal members and WCAG Pro dashboard subscribers.
  • Functional Preference Cookies: Save user preference selections such as high-contrast viewing toggles and layout dimensions.
  • Aggregated Anonymous Analytics: Privacy-focused web analytics that measure overall site visits and conversion rates without tracking individual users across third-party websites.

5. Data Retention Policy

We retain personal and scan information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the service objectives:

  • Free Checker Scan Data: Temporary scan logs are purged from edge cache systems after 30 days.
  • WCAG Pro Account Historical Data: Stored for the lifetime of your active subscription to maintain compliance trend line charts. Exportable in CSV format upon request.
  • CDCS Certification Registry Records: Maintained permanently to enable prospective agency clients to verify the authenticity of a practitioner credential.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR, CCPA, and Global Privacy Laws

Regardless of your geographic location, Digital Compliance Auditors affords all registered users and clients comprehensive privacy controls:

  • Right to Access: You may request a complete copy of all personal records and audit files associated with your identity.
  • Right to Rectification: You may update inaccurate personal contact or agency billing details at any time.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to Be Forgotten”): You may request the permanent deletion of your account, billing history, and stored scan telemetry, subject to statutory tax record retention requirements.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Marketing: Every non-transactional marketing email contains an automated single-click unsubscribe link.

7. Data Security Safeguards

We implement modern enterprise security standards to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted via Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). Data at rest in our scanning cluster is protected using AES-256 bit encryption.
